Are you Thinking Outside the Box yet?
I thought I would talk about how I encounter so many people on a daily basis who have such a linear scope of looking at life. They have become complacent in their mundane jobs and they seem helpless to change it. Why is this? Why not have an enjoyable lucrative business?
Taking the same old train or route to work everyday. Working 9 to 5 and than trying to speed things up so they can rush home and pick up the kids from day care and/or make dinner for the family. Maybe throw a few work clothes in the washer to wear for the rest of the week. Cramming in helping the kids with homework, bath time, story time if possible, clean up the dishes and flop down thinking..." I wish my life was easier"? It seems like an endless wheel going round and round.
Somehow we have got stuck in a routine and it is harder to change it as the years go by. We do need to take steps to change how we think so are lives will follow suit and change positively. What makes us think we have to work for someone else? Why are we earning an income that is way below our value? And replaceable too! Yes, in a heartbeat we can be replaced by someone who looks half our age and who will take half the pay to start. You may end up training this person, only to find out that he/she is replacing you. Not very nice is it? Ah..the corporate world.
We need to start learning how to be creative and start taking action now! Why not learn how to be your own boss and start your own business? We need to stop following like sheep and become leaders, positive leaders. We can seek out others who feel the same way and thereby create a network of like minded people with a positive goal. We can do it! No more sleep walking and depending on the boss man. I remember my dad, having only grade 8 education, built his own Insurance Agency and worked out of our house out West. When the government took over most of his business he went into Flood Damage Inspection. I am so proud of him=)

Feeling Gorgeous in Your Forties and Beyond!
I don't know about you but I am tired of fighting with my looks. I am also tired of people asking me " How old are you?" I think after a long time of this inner battle with myself and society's view of how a woman should look, I have finally surrendered..well.. ALMOST! I know there are nice expensive options out there like botox and fillers, even the scalpel if you have the finances and are the brave sort. But how far does one go to still not feel invisible in a society that glorifies the young and the beautiful?
One Way to help you feel good about yourself is by dressing in style..always. Good quality undergarments
are the way to go too so you will feel sexy. It does not matter even if your weight is not where you would like it to be. Also, treat yourself like you are valuable because you are...get yourself some beautiful jewelry to adorn your precious body. Lavish yourself with nice smelling natural skin care products and perfumes. After all, this is what woman have been doing since ancient times. So put down those magazines with the 12 year old anorexic looking models in them that are air brushed and spend that money on focusing on yourself. When you feel good about yourself then others will take notice.

Beware of Brazilian Hair Straitening Treatment!!
So I was watching the Tyra Banks show last night and saw this fantastic way to straighten my hair. The way it was presented was that it was an okay thing to do without using a flat iron. It was also mentioned that there was formaldehyde in the product. I was exploring where in my neighborhood I could get this fantastic procedure performed. Boy am I glad I did my research girls! Always do the research!
Whats Hot this Summer??

So, a couple weekends ago my Business Associates and I went off to check out the 3rd annual Elle Fashion Event at the Carlou Center on Yonge Street in downtown Toronto. For $35.00 we received a lunch, 2 fashion shows plus an onstage demo on makeup, display tables, and a whole glorious bag full of free products and promos. Wow! There was Nexus shampoo and conditioner, a nice big bottle of Body Shop shower gel, Crab Tree and Evelyn hand creme, Mary Kay lip balm etc. etc...oh and chocolate!
The eye makeup this year tends to lean towards green..yes green. The French Connection featured the best in fashion, as far as I was concerned. Beautiful bright colors such as tangerine and limes. The color brown is also in this year. Short, short, very short skirts and can you believe that I saw a model wearing cutoffs with the waist actually up to her navel?
The models however were too young and formless I believe for the crowd of women with realistic bodies. But it was a show after all and enjoyable at that and I wasn't a Buyer.
